Many of the animals on Arcadia farm have been rescued from tough situations with little option for a future.. Here they find belonging within a flock, herd, pack or family,

Meet Zeus

Zeus is 15 year old purebred Arabian Gelding. He was a well trained, gentle trail riding horse until he sustained an unfixable knee injury. Now he can only be ridden by people under 100 pounds, on flat ground and for less than 30 minutes. He loves children and interacting with people. We decided to take Zeus in when we heard that since he is no longer fit to be a trail rider he was going to be sent to the game farm to be tiger food. Noooo!!! Zeus is bright, gentle spirit with many many years of love left to give!

Meet Houdini

Houdini is Muscovy drake who was the last survivor of a Joyce flock of ducks who had been picked off one by one by eagles. He was brought to me so he wouldn't have to live alone, without any other ducks. He enjoys breakfast and lunch with the flock but prefers to sleep in the tall trees over the coop. He flys over there every evening and returns in the morning. He’s been with us since 2021.
